Hello…..
my
name is Gracia Amor Lebang a travel student from a business travel study
program
so
this is my first blog I hope you guys enjoyed it
Field trips are one of the programs on
our campus Makassar tourism polytechnic. This time we have a marine field trip
on the island of dutungan, barru district, about 3 hours from Makassar. To get
to the dutungan island we cross using a ship for about 6 minutes, the view is
beautiful because the sky, mountains and sea are fused.
Dutungan Island is a suitable place to
visit with friends, camping there may be quite fun or just to calm down with
beautiful scenery and strong winds like to feel like flying with the wind, for
those of you who are in the Makassar area and want to feel calm You don't need
to go far away that the island of dutungan will suit you.
We are very fortunate to be able to join this
program because we were taught to dive and snorkel. This is my first time doing
diving and snorkeling.
Previously we were given guidance by
experts about scuba tools and codes that must be done while under water, after
all the instructions were given we had lunch first so we would not be exhausted
later. After finishing eating we went straight to the dock to prepare to do
diving and snorkeling.
I really enjoyed my time with
snorkeling, I didn't feel panic or scared, could see fish and coral, it was
very calm down there, I could also see my friend who was diving with a
professional, I was snorkeling for quite a long time.
Once satisfied with snorkeling I want
to try diving, I'm a little afraid because if we go into the depths of our ears
will hurt and I have experienced ear pain that is quite severe and it makes me
traumatized, he said how to overcome it press the nose and swallow saliva.
I was the last to dive, actually I
could be earlier but I always gave it to friends, and when it was my turn, I
practiced breathing with my mouth before entering the water, it was a little
uncomfortable because in my opinion when exhaling it was a little difficult .
After practicing for a long time I immediately jumped accompanied by a
professional.
We went to a fairly shallow place
first, then we started to go down slowly around 2 meters deep my ears started
hurting then I tried pinching my nose but it didn't work so I gave the code to
rise to the surface. After calming down we began to go back down at a depth of
2 meters he asked me if I was okay I answered yes using the code, then we went
down again to a depth of 3 meters and my ears hurt so much at that time so I
told him to rise to the surface, but at the time he took my camera straight
away and didn't think about my pain. I thought at that time it was a photo that
was ready to be displayed (this is millennial), after we were on the surface he
asked me if I wanted to try again but I didn't want to.
Right now I think diving is a water
sport that I don't like and snorkeling is the water sport that I like the most,
but I will try to learn diving another time and be able to conquer it.
After
the activities on dutungan island were finished, we then went to a hotel in
Pare-pare. At 7 pm we had dinner and continued with a presentation about K3 and
how to handle marine tours.
The
second day at 5 am we took a leisurely walk to the monibi true love monument
and Ainun and returned at 6 am, then we got ready for breakfast at 7 am.
At
8 am we visited the tourist attraction of Paputo Beach in Pare Pare and made
observations while having a little fun.
Then
at 11 am the women went to the restaurant's terrace to have lunch while the men
went to the mosque for Friday prayers and then followed.
After
lunch we continue our trip to Makassar.
thank
you for reading my first blog, I will try to make other fun posts…
